If your hydraulic sewing lift is not locking to the positions or if your lift is not releasing from position- you'll want to check that the rod/pin and spring are attached and free from any build up. The rod/pin is connected via a spring that is attached to both the rod/pin and the lift assembly. This is located on the right side (if looking at the cabinet) and behind the lift assembly.

This photo shows how the spring is connected to the rod and the side of the lift assembly. If your spring is detached, we recommend using needle-nose pliers or cosmetic tweezers to pull the spring over and rehook onto the side of the lift. If at all possible, we recommend doing this with the lift in the cabinet. Removing the lift from the cabinet will require you to reinstall the lift via the Alternate Lift Installation Method

You can remove the sewing platform panel to get access to the spring from the top of the cabinet-the platform has 4 screws:

If the spring is attached and still not locking into positions, we recommend moving the rod pin around to ensure there is no build up on the spring. WD-40 or any spray lubricant will clean the area and keep the lift moving smoothly.
