Below are solutions to move your hydraulic lift out of the storage position. If you have an electric lift, please visit here.

1. Spray WD-40 or lubricant spray to the sides of your lift. Looking over the top of the opening, you will spray each side of the lift near the rail and the back of the lift assembly (if possible). Let it sit for a few minutes.

2. After you've let the lubricant sit for a few minutes, place one hand on each side of the platform and give a good push on the platform. On the right side of the lift is a rod and spring, with downward force the rod/spring move through the grooves in the nylon stopper that is installed on the lifter rail. Try pushing down a few times to see if the lift will release from the stopper.

If your platform will not release after using the lubricant and downward force, you will need to reposition the bottom stopper into the lower hole.  Please follow these steps to reinstall the bottom stopper on the right lift rail.

1. Have a partner hold the lift in place or use something heavy.  Once the screw is removed from the stopper, the lift assembly will spring back up.

2. You will need to use a P3 size Phillips head screw driver or a 5/32" allen wrench. A standard screwdriver may work, be mindful of stripping the screw. You may use a rubber band between the screwhead and screwdriver to provide extra torque.

3. Remove the screw from rail at the bottom (near lift assembly) from the stopper.  If the screw feels tight you can try using WD-40 lubricant on the head or heat from a hair dryer to loosen up the screw. If you have a Dremel tool, you can cut the screw out of the stopper-contact customer service for a replacement stopper and screw 1-800-533-7347 ext. 1

4. Once the screw is removed from the stopper, you will want to re-install the stopper using the lower hole on the stopper and the upper hole on the rail
