A possible reason the electric lift does not move from the storage position could be due to a loosened set screw. Below is information on how to identify and resolve this issue.
If the gear on the right side of the lift is not moving, but the bolt inside is when the button is engaged, you will need to tighten the set screw to the flat part of the bolt. The image below shows the flat part of the bolt on the left and the set screw on the right. The set screw is a size 2.5mm allen wrench (a longer one will be helpful).
The screw needs to be tightened over the flat spot on the gear shaft, pressing the up/down switch will move its position. It might take a few tries to get it aligned.
